About TEC
Training is one of the key components in the area of developing human resources and capacity building. It enables personnel to facilitate creative dynamics for contributing the process of development in a more professional way. It also explore human intrinsic potentialities for doing some things.
Aungkur Training and Education Centre (TEC), the capacity development wing of Aungkur is being established in 2008 ( December) with the financial grant of the embassy of Japan. It endeavors to foster the professional and institutional capacity of its mainstream, and NGOs, local PVDOS, clubs, INGOs and GOs encompassing a broad range of philosophies, techniques and its long experiential learning from its big laboratory i.e. its integrated development field of Madripur and Bangladesh.Since its inception in January, 2009, it has been providing its support in two dimensional intervention; Training Interventions & Non-Training Interventions. The training interventions are offered for fostering professional development where as non-training interventions are provided through the services to capacitate sustainable organization development. The interventions are delivered through four sections, namely Development Management, Finance and Accounts, Education and Gender, and Health & Development sections.
Goal of TEC
The goal of TEC of Aungkur is to improve the management competencies of development practitioners and to enhance the human and operational skills of the program participants. Its aims are to share its expertise that has acquired experience over a period of time towards achieving the development goals of Bangladesh.
Specific objectives
q To develop and provide training courses for Development Practitioners and program participants of Aungkur, mainly primary group members, CBOS leaders, local, semi –government organization and local community peoples in order to stipulate and strengthen people’s development efforts in larger social context.
q To develop the capacity of the above organization by providing need based professional training.
q To extend necessary support and facilities to other organizations for organizing training, seminar and workshop
q To enhance sustainable development through institutional and human resource development of target beneficiaries of the organization and other partner organization.

Courses offer
Aungkur offers a variety of training courses in different areas of development. The training courses are arranged for the grassroots level workers, supervisors, senior and mid-level managers of development organizations. These courses are conducted by professional facilitators who have gained considerable experiences in the art and technology of training in Bangladesh. The training staffs are experienced in various fields of development, and there has been the presence of experts from Bangladesh during some courses. Aungkur also organize and conducts customized training courses for other organization. The program is designed and developed as per their organization need and requirements.
Training Resource Pool
TEC training unit has its own trainer / facilitator with outstanding experience in related areas. Besides, Program managers of different programs within the organization also contribute their time as a resource person in the training sessions. Aungkur also invites experience professionals from resource pool of expert/ rewound resource person form other organization if needed.
Course Language
All training courses are generally conducted in Bengala, although some training materials and training aids are in English.
Learning Methods and Techniques
Considering the nature and level of participants, environment, active participation, maximal involvement, time and relevance of instructional areas, training courses conduct in a participatory way as much as possible. Generally training Team of TEC of Aungkur uses the following methods: -
Lecture/ lecturette, buzz group ; Discussion, Group work; Brainstorming, T-group sensitivity; Case study, Role play, exercises; Demonstration, Syndicate study; Fish bow exercise; Ice breaking, Learning games ; Assigned reading and reporting; Experience sharing; Mini university, PRA, VIPP
Current facilities
Aungkur currently established a central village based Training Complex (TEC) with residential training facilities having a big fish pond in front the training complex with decorated campus . It includes dormitory (24 beds), 1-guest rooms, Air-conditioned training hall, dinning, telephone and emergency power supply with other training equipments.
For conducting effective training and other educational activities, Aungkur equipped TEC with different types of modern training materials for conducting the training activities lively, simple and participatory. Besides, the training participants are also provided with diverse information’s and valuable materials after completion of the courses.
Course Fee
For conducting training of other organization TEC charges the followings fees in different heads as per organizational rules & procedures :-
